We have learned so much from this project, and we wanted to share some of that with you. This page shows some of the things we did to create the Habitats Web Page.

Each student wrote a story to use for our talking book. We then read all the stories aloud and voted on the one we thought was the best. We added details together in a shared writing activity to make the story better. Each student was given one sentence of the story to illustrate on drawing paper. We then scanned our pictures into the computer, typed our sentence, and recorded our voices reading our sentence.
To create this page, we each wrote a question with two answers about habitats. Our team leader typed in all the questions and answers. We created a correct page and a wrong page and hyper linked the answers to the right page. We hope you enjoy our game.
We searched the Internet for websites that had habitat information. Our teacher also found some sites. We viewed each site and wrote a brief overview of the site. We hope that these sites enhance your learning about habitats. Click on the photographs to see us while we were working.
Our teacher had to create a web quest for her graduate class, so she made a habitat one for our website.
First, we got into groups and wrote a short transactive piece about each habitat. We took these pieces through the writing process and then typed them using Microsoft Word. Next, we copied and pasted them onto each habitat page. Using a digital camera, we took pictures of our research projects and inserted them on to the corresponding habitat page. Last we typed the three most important things that we learned about our animal.
