Black Box

Black Box

Third graders from Picadome Elementary went to Ashland, Henry Clay’s home. In the office they observed a case. Inside the case was a black box that was very worn out. Henry Clay kept his important papers in this box. Henry Clay took it with him to Washington. He used it the way today’s men used laptops. It was medium sized. This had a very good use back then. It was decent even though it was worn out. The wooden box also had a lock on the front. Some spots of brown were on it.

Special Papers

Have you lived 200 years ago? I’m guessing not because you’re reading this article. Our 3rd grade class went to Henry Clay’s Home so you’re about to know some facts from those days. This is Henry Clay’s briefcase he kept all of his important papers in. He used it during his three week carriage ride to Washington D.C.

Today we have Laptops so we can type, save, and go! Because laptops are more expensive some people still have briefcases.
