Picadome SBDM Council

Special Called Meeting

April 3, 2003

The Picadome School Community is committed to all students attaining the highest levels of academic achievement and responsible citizenship through equitable opportunities in becoming lifelong learners.

The meeting was called to order by Darla Simms, council chair at 3:24 PM. Members present were: teachers- Tammy Johnson, Bill McMakin, and Juaacklyn Cunningham; parent- Jeff Mefford. Tammy Lynch, parent, was absent.

The Picadome Comprehensive School Improvement Plan was the only item on the agenda.

Brenda Smith gave council members copies of Picadome’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. As council members read over the plan, Mrs. Smith noted that new items were in bold print.

Miss Simms explained that this is the year for revisions to the plan. The plan has three components: a student achievement component, an equity component and a parent component. There is an addendum, Closing the Achievement Gap. We are going to address all gaps. Miss Simms explained the addendum.

After some discussion, council agreed by consensus to accept the Picadome Comprehensive School Improvement Plan with certain revisions.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:30.

Respectfully submitted: Becky Boling
