     C.     Ms. Simms reported that staff is still working on the disaggregated data from our district mandated assessment (SRI and STAR math.) She asked council’s permission to report at the November 14, 2002 meeting.

 IV. Work Session

       A.KCCT Data

Ms. Simms gave council members a copy of the Kentucky Core Content Test Spring 2002 Performance Report and reviewed the results. Picadome met our accountability index goal for the biennium. (See attached)

Because we met our goal, we will be receiving rewards money. Council will make the decision on how the money will be distributed. Ms. Simms asked Council to study this data so we can discuss it further at the November 14 meeting. At that time we will identify the achievement gap which we need to address this year for Senate Bill 168. Staff will review all data at November 5 Professional Development.

        B. Hiring Policy

Tammy Johnson typed the hiring policy. Darla Simms took it back to the Budget & personnel committee.

       C.     SB 168 – Darla Simms reviewed the timeline and implication for SBDM. She will invite Vince Mattox to our November 14 meeting for a more in depth look at Senate Bill 168.

 V. Extended School Services

A.     Brenda Smith reported there were 53 referrals with 38 students attending. She also reported that there was no bus service due to budget cuts.  Darla Simms questioned if the lack of bus service affects those who were referred but not attending. Juaacklyn Cunningham questioned 1st & 2nd grade not being included.

B.     Darla Simms wants to see 2nd grade data to determine the number who would eligible.

C.     Council accepted the ESS plan with changes for spring as needs warrant.
