Special Called SBDM Meeting
March 9, 2007
The meeting was called to order at 3:15.
Members in attendance: Darla Simms, Chairperson, Steve Stone, parent, Ricki Rosenberg, teacher, Stacey Stone, teacher and Kathy Cleary, teacher
Members absent: Bill McMakin and Jeff Mefford
Ms Simms reviewed the Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that were submitted to the district. The district granted two of the requested RFPs:
· One Intervention Coach (renamed Academic Coach by the district) to work with all grades in all academic areas.
· $15,000 for additional SuccessMaker software licenses. No laptops were granted as requested.
Ms Simms reported that the RFP stated specifically not to grant the licenses without granting the laptops. She spoke to the Elementary Director who agreed via phone that the RFP monies could be spent to purchase laptops.
Council agreed to accept the grants from the district with revisions. Council members signed the Statement of Assurances by SBDM Council.
