SmartBoard Setup Instructions

1. Plug in power cord from the cart.
2. Make sure laptop computer and projector are plugged into the cart.
3. If using the Internet or network, plug network cable into drop the classroom computer was plugged into. Plug the network cable into the computer network connector.

4. Connect the SmartBoard connector to the back of the computer in the empty slot next to where the projector is connected.

5. There is a double-cord connected to the mouse attachment in the back of the computer, Take the cord that is loose and attach it to the empty connection on the back of the SmartBoard connector, This is the connector you attached in the previous step.

6. Turn on computer.

7. Turn on projector.

8. Click on "Start" then "Programs" and find "SmartBoard Software" then click on "SmartBoard Driver" or if the SmartBoard Notebook comes up click on "Tools".

9. Click on "Orient Board". Choose Orientation Precision: Quick, Standard, or Fine.  Quick is usually sufficient but if you want a little more precision, choose Standard.

10. Go to the SmartBoard and press on the red X's in order of occurrence using your finger. The SmartBoard should be ready to use now.
